Biography
Caryl St. Ama is a tenured professor in Studio Arts at Glendale Community College in Glendale, California where she teaches Painting and Drawing. She is one of six Core Instructors for R&F Handmade Paints, teaching encaustic workshops and providing outreach for local retailers and engaging in educational opportunities at local colleges, universities and art centers. She is a member of International Encaustic Artists and a founding board member of the Los Angeles Chapter, LAX WAX ART. She will attend the International Encaustic Conference held in Provincetown, MA and will be offering two workshops at the upcoming EAI-IEA Retreat in conjunction with the Artisan Materials Expo in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She exhibits her work nationally and maintains a contemporary art practice and studio in South Pasadena, California.
